THE BESTSELLING SERIES THAT INSPIRED AMAZON PRIME'S BALLARD AND BOSCH

SOME CRIMES YOU CAN'T FORGET.
OTHERS YOU CAN'T FORGIVE.

Detective Renée Ballard is given the chance to revive the LAPD's cold case unit and find justice for the families of the forgotten. The only catch is she must first unravel an unsolved murder, or lose this opportunity of a lifetime...

Harry Bosch is top of the list of investigators Ballard wants to recruit. The ex-detective is a living legend - but for how long?

Because Bosch has his own agenda: a crime that has haunted him for years - the murder of a whole family, buried out in the desert - which he vowed to close.

With the killer still out there and evidence elusive, Bosch is on a collision course with a choice he hoped never to make...

dad. Very sad. Connelly is a top notch writer. As usual, as a matter of fact a genius. Because whatever the plot and the characters keep going on during decades, they are definitely a star for their own. A desert star maybe. Too bad and too beautiful at the same time. Every no El a masterpiece. Ehi, you are the man. Thanks a lot

Beautiful as well as...

Enjoyed this book, performances were good. Thought there would be a bigger twist to the story though.

Good read

Another gripping tale with Harry and Renee at the wheel. It really took some effort not to listen to the whole book in one sitting. I found it very comfortable again, listening to the voices of Christine and Titus (for me the one and only Harry Bosch). The book leaves enough room for yet another great story. I can’t wait for the next one.

Another masterpiece

Lots of twists and turns but the characters shine through. A great listen. Story lines constantly engaging and great performances by Lakin and Welliver. Thumbs up.

Bosch & Ballard at their best

i don't know how many more Bosch novels we will see. Bosch is getting older, but he is also getting savvier. There are twists and turns, and we almost lose Bosch in this one. I didn't like Renee Ballard at first, but she is growing on me. Connelly is making her more of a cop and less of a hippie. Her relationship with Bosch definitely goes to a deeper level of collaboration this story. Indeed, they practically read each other's mind. The central scenarios in this book are both cold cases, which I like. Bosch refers to the huge file of cold cases as the Library of Lost Souls. They prey on his mind, and if we see more of Bosch in the future, I think it will have to be more cold cases. With a brief Mickey Haller cameo, this latest from Michael Connelly has everything that has made me a fan. I had to sleep last night so I got up at 5 this morning to finish the book. I am glad I did. Five stars for sure.

What a terrific novel!!
