It may seem that being a homemaker and climbing the corporate ladder are two mutually exclusive goals. But according to Julie-Anne Lutfi - wife, mother, and kick-ass corporate attorney - you don't have to choose. With the right attitude and strategies, you can achieve a successful career and a happy personal life.

In Diapers, Date Nights and Deadlines, Julie draws on her experiences as a working mom while challenging conventional wisdom to offer techniques to women trying to serve both their families and careers. Advising on everything from meal prep to date nights, deadlines, and schedules, Julie addresses difficult subjects such as "convenient feminism", traditional gender roles, and motherly guilt and helps listeners implement concrete strategies to bring their personal and professional lives into harmony.

It is possible to excel at work and at home. Diapers, Date Nights and Deadlines will show you how it can be done.

It's hard to listen in many ways, not very relatable. It's cool she found an awesome life/work success formula. I just don't think it's applicable to me. Any relationship takes an incredible amount of work and if you have to juggle life, work and children you need help from family, friends and put an incredible amount on yourself as an individual to keep the love alive and yourself sane. This is just a book on how her life is balanced in the best way she can balance it, good for her but its definitely not a GUIDE just a short story of authors values and opinions, lots of opinions. Opinions which are old school and (author address that) but still makes it for a very hard to listen because there are no solutions just an incredible amount of responsibilities and pressure that she puts on herself. I am just not a workaholic and masochist like the author.
