Right as things between the two are heating up on the Great Barrier Reef, pesky aliens intervene. Humanity is doomed, they tell him, destined to become extinct in the not-too-distant future. Nate and Senna are forced to compete for a spot on a human preserve. The competition turns out to be similar to a Real Time Strategy (RTS) 4x game. That means, in order to score points, you have to eXpand your empire, eXterminate your foes, and eXplore & eXploit your environment.

Slow start and a few mistakes

Ok the story start out slow but it’s building up which I understand there needs to be a foundation but, dinosaurs don’t show up till like 7 hours into the story lol.

Now the mistakes I heard one was I heard the mic being moved, the second mistakes lol was the young lady saying a word wrong then I heard her say oh f**k then say the word again correctly again it kinda kills my immersion of the story.

I still have 11 hours left and I hope I don’t hear any more mistakes like these because it really destroys the immersion of the story lol 😆

Great start to hopefully a long series

Marcus doesnt disappoint again with this story, and the performance by the narrators is excellent. Unfortunately there are a few editing problems, some long pauses, and some repeats but with 17hrs of story, that's a lot to cover.

You can fast forward the naughty bits

I enjoyed the book.was able to fast forward past the really sexy bits.just not interested in really descriptive sexual scenes. Good plot line tho.

wow just wow

I absolutely loved the book and the audible was just peerless. I cannot wait for Marcus to make book 2

My type of story

I loved the whole gaming aspect of it. If this was a video game I could buy I would do so in an instant. However, with my imagination I was able to close my eyes I felt like I was there with him in battle. I can't wait to start book two.
