A cozy home in a small town, a lake for fishing, and a few friendly neighbors — that's all Sean needs. And that’s exactly what he’s hoping to find in the quiet town of Waycross.

But when he discovers a mysterious book in the attic of his new home, strange things start to happen. Strange and magical things.

With magic in play, Sean's priorities and ambitions might just shift. The one thing he is getting, though, are those friendly neighbors. And he'll be needing them, too. From the bubbly farm girl next door to the shy but imaginative librarian, they will help Sean find his way in this new magical world…

Really enjoyed this first installment of this new series. It has slice of life, some mystery and a few LIs thrown in. Really can’t wait to listen to the next book

Really great start

The narrators do an amazing job. The story is enjoyable and keeps the pace. Great slice of life. The spice is amazing.

My only complaint is the ex wife. sorry but ahe made her choice now she has to live with it. you cant suddenly guilt him because you wanted work and a career in a big city.

I think this is the perfect blend of FS and CM

It's a haremlit, so temper your expectations. I'd say it's pretty middle of the road in terms of quality. This is no Bruce Sentar novel. the MC is a 40 year-old divorcee who has no job and just bought a run-down farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. His interests are his smoking hot ex-wife who's a partner in her law firm in the city, the hot blonde bombshell living alone next door, and the sexy librarian down the street. I don't know how this dude does it, but despite being 40 years old and eating like shit, he's still fit, handsome, and the best catch for miles around, not to mention he's jobless. It's not a bad tale, but suspend you're gonna need to suspend your disbelief. This is a 40 year-old single liberal artist's idea of what a dilf or sugar daddy is supposed to be.

The most desirable man is a jobless deadbeat screaming about goblins on his lawn.
