How far would you go to save a friend?

Nick Summerland traded in the hectic pace of Seattle for the familiar haunts of his hometown, Silvervale. He thought the move would dampen his curse: the ability to see life ticking away from those with less than a year to live.

Instead of relief, he discovers one of the cursed death clocks hanging over his best friend.

Nick learns Silvervale has its own secrets, including a beautiful, magic-wielding Medium who sees the same things he does, and a portal to an all-women’s college known as the Ghost Academy that might have the answers Nick needs.

Still, all magic comes with a price, and saving his friend’s life won’t come easily. Nick must team up with female ghosts to hone his newfound abilities—all while holding down a 9 to 5 and navigating a budding relationship.

As he’ll come to learn, not all ghosts are friendly—and some fates are worse than death.

The whole concept of the ghost

I love the entire book The entire concept is new to me I haven't really seen any books do something like this I do wish the MC Nick isn't so dense sometimes and forgetful and what is that damn ending freaking cliffhangers can't wait for the next one they're better being the next one I will ride if there isn't lol

The story is unique and refreshing.

I loved the mention of Washington state icons and areas. Mr. Bacon did a great job! 👏🏻 the voice acting was phenomenal! My hats off to all of you!

good listen

the author did a good job balancing the "just starting the academy learning curve" with actual action. the LI and side characters are interesting and well developed. the MC has strong motivation to work hard in his new situation and overcome the obstacles before him. his analytical style of problem solving adds an interesting touch to the story.

The voice acting is great and makes the whole thing flow smoothly and quickly. binged this one. litrpg elements are minimal and don't detract from the listen.
