Saving the princess was just the start.

After Trent Marston’s prophetic dreams allow him to save Princess Victoria from undead assassins, he learns it was her father, the king, who tried to have her killed. To protect her, he must flee the army he once served and, on Victoria’s behalf, gather allies to retake her throne.

Alongside a beautiful huntress and a mysterious red-haired woman who turns into a magic sword, Trent will face bounty hunters, demonic trees, and powerful necromancers as he swears himself to service and revenge as the Queen’s Kestrel.

And with each new victory, his legend grows...

fantastic book. wish they would go into a little bit more into the lore. build the world a little bit. lengthen the book by let's say 30 minutes an hour to include a little bit more lower but very good book series so far.

One of the best series debut novels in this genre around. Story concept is innovative and interesting and the plot original.

I absolutely love this book. The next one needs to hurry up and get here. I need to know what happens. The voice performers were excellent.

Great Start!

the pacing of this book was great, everything seemed to flow well in this interesting world. I would recommend reading this book to any enjoyer of fantasy.

My biggest annoyance, and probably my only, is how repetitive some things are in the book. For example, six or even ten times over the author heavily describes the effect of a transformation like its the first time we have ever seen it. It started to grind on me.
But honestly that's about it. I would definitely read a sequel. Would recommend.

Repetitive but Very Interesting
