Freaking loved it!

This book was significantly better than book 2, which honestly was kinda boring. I could have sworn I read somewhere that the Author said this was going to be a trilogy but it very obviously is not. Great book, just don’t expect it all to come to a close.

The book is a fun and entertaining listen, just don't think about the plot and story elements too hard

Putting aside that this book is shorter than the other 2. This book makes sense as a continuation for sure, but doesn't follow up on the elements introduced in the 2nd book. More specifically this book carries on like the 2nd book didn't happen, or better put its as if the 2nd book could be a single time skip summary chapter at the beginning of this one.

that's not to say this isn't enjoyable, because it is, the moment to moment experience of this book is as excellent as the first. the specific story beats and elements are only really a problem if you think about it or if it's something you personally really care about.

Holly Jackson is excellent as always

Great installment, but it's sad to know the series won't be continued

Unfortunately, the author, J.V. Simms passed away on February 1st, 2025, so a fourth book will not be written or released.
Rest in peace to him, fly high J.V. Simms, and prayers to his family 🕊️🕊️

Another Fun Entry

This story does a fantastic job of introducing new elements, expanding on the previous characters and delving into the general world building. Definitely recommend it.

This is with our a doubt my favorite book in the series I mean holy shit I thought if there was any character growth it would destroy the whole story but no it just got better
