A riveting blend of action and depth!

L. Fergus' "Earth Y4K: Blood, Oil, and Tears," narrated by Mary L. Phillips, delivers a riveting blend of action and depth. The writing is stellar, and Phillips brings the characters to life with skillful narration. A must-listen for fantasy fans seeking a gripping space adventure with a touch of the divine.

Science Fiction Extraordinaire

This was my first experience with this author's work. There were many elements to the story that I really enjoyed, such as: military robot mechs, space travel, and exciting battle scenes. There were some factors that I found less appealing, such as: xenophobia, belittling the opposite sex, and how some of the characters' actions seemed unrealistic even within the story's framework. I was very entertained by Mary L Phillips' narration. I liked all the different voices which she provided for the various characters. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

Great listen

Very captivating and attention grabbing it keeps you interested with the action and storyline that just flows well

Having a relationship with a sociopath in a world filled with bigotry and misogyny.

In this book we join Kita, Kimmy and the Angels as they explore a world ruled by misogyny and bigotry. Can they, with the help of some new friends band together to bring about change? We get some fresh romance, a spicy scene, and even a treasure hunt. The angels take everything in stride and offer each other emotional support whenever one of their team needs it. Including how to change your perspective and have a meaningful relationship with a sociopath, which was a refreshing change from this diagnosis being painted as only a monster.

I read this book after reading Birthright and Razor’s Pass, which while doable, I wouldn’t recommend. While the author gave context and filled the reader in, it left me realizing how much of the story I had missed and made me need to price things together that otherwise would have been obvious.

Overall a quick and easy read.
