From a number one best-selling author: a fresh and funny romantic mystery series about a witty, down-to-earth heroine with a job you've never seen before....

Being an undercover poison taster for the rich and famous might sound glamorous, but for Isobel Avery it means stomaching bad clients and even worse coffee. The one side of the job that lives up to expectations is the money. Which is just as well for Izzy, since she needs an awful lot of it. Who knew when she made a lifelong commitment to a man that it would be one year living with him and the rest of her life paying for it?

But even her scoundrel ex-husband doesn't look so bad compared to her new client. He's competent, condescending, and annoyingly attractive, and Izzy doesn't know whether to sleep with him or poison him herself. Throw in a loan shark, a nosy neighbor, and a murder attempt, and Izzy will have her work cut out for her.

Perfect for fans of Camilla Chafer, Jana DeLeon, Janet Evanovich, Stephanie Bond, Julie Moffett, and JB Lynn.

really struggled to finish; Glad it was on sale; creative approach to solving murders by identifing food poisens, but stupidity of main character major distraction as well scenerio of another broke female detective making bad decisions. She's thinking about cleaning vomit- covered name brand shoes to sell on ebay for money??? Smarter indulgent male supervisor?? this isn't the series for me.

I'll be honest- I bought this book because it was cheap and I didn't expect a whole lot. What I got was way better than I expected. This book was funny, fast paced, and I loved the characters. It had a great balance of action, suspense and a little bit of romance thrown in too. I usually listen to audiobooks at night as I fall asleep- but I had to switch to a different one because I liked this so much it was keeping me awake. The narrator also does a great job voicing the main character's Australian accent. I'll definitely be checking out more by this author and narrator!

The first in the series Eat Pray Die is a fun cozy mystery built around a truly unique premise. Who knew the Hollywood rich and famous needed taste testers? Izzy has moved from Australia to SoCal for an urgently needed job. Conner is her hunky boss, Arthur her roommate, Meow the cat, Mr Black the enforcer and Etta the spunky elderly neighbor (who I’m convinced is ex-CIA). All are delightful and add to the fun. Can't wait to listen to the other books.

FYI, for those who have listened to the original Eat Pray Die audio book the biggest change is that the characters finally have their proper accents. It is well worth a second credit.

I love this series!
