Narration detracts from the story.

I think that the story was Ok but the narration was bad. At times, it sounded like the narrator was reading the story one word at a time.

This is sadly not up to the Great Andre Norton.
I wonder why they approved this “collaboration”? It just is not equal to anything Norton has done.
The story is weak and very inconsistent.
I know these characters from Norton’s earlier works. This story does not “remember” what I know about them and that is irritating.

I’m listening and the performance is flat and uninteresting.
It’s hard to complete.

Where do I go to get my wasted time back?

I love Norton’s stories and Time travel books. I admire and have read or listened to almost all her work. Echoes in Time was a mishmash of plots, alien, races, and inexplicable, poor writing. I can’t believe Norton did much of the writing. This must be a Baldies plot to destroy her reputation.
