I write self-help and am always looking for new techniques and ideas for improving one’s thinking habits.

What I like about this audio is that this is something we all deal with on some level, even the most ambitious of us. At some point, we all have negative inner dialogue. This audio book provides a powerful set of tools to help even the most stubborn overcome negative thinking.

Like any habit changing technique, you’ll have to do the exercises, but the tools offered provide new patterns that challenged my own limiting beliefs.

The framework was laid out in a simple but powerful way for me to practice new habits. As the author suggests, breaking down these negative thoughts begins to reshape how we automatically think about things.

I liked how she has the listener ‘label’ these thoughts. It helped me to identify what I was unconsciously doing and proactively re-framed how I approached my usual thinking habits. I also liked how she challenged my ‘proof’ that a thought was negative.

I did feel a little silly at times examining my thinking so deeply, but I have to say that it really challenged what I habitually do when a negative thought comes to play by challenging its accuracy.

Setting realistic goals allowed me to not be so hard on myself and gave me smaller goals to accomplish – hence, less overwhelm.

This audio book is only 3 hrs, 34 mins long, so it is quite manageable, but filled with great tools to reshape one’s mental habits. It felt like a course on brain remapping. It’s not about elimination, it’s about reframing and being able to recognize and face those negative beliefs with new tools to rewire your thinking. Overall, this is a great instructional audio.

This is a really good audio-book that get's right to truth about the negative thoughts we can tend to enhabit into our minds which then degrade our quality of life (unneccessarily!). This audiobook will help you target them and reverse the habit patterns that have kept them in place. It's scientific and clear and really good guide.
