So many crime fiction books sort of run the same track that I when I find likable characters who even make me laugh while they solve crimes, I feel like I have found something worth continuing. I got tired of depressed police procedurals, and these Scottish stories are just the antidote. Good stories, great characters, little scenery, some jokes. One thing, watch carefully at the end, or it will throw you off the train! lol!

A witty, well-woven tale of intriguing coincidences, or are they? This book has it all...Sex, Drugs and...Poetry?

Excellent Writing and Great Humor!

Just enough Scottish travelogue, a captivating mystery and a wealth of interesting characters. I don’t miss the vulgar language peppered throughout most of my other favorite series. I do miss a good sex scene or two but not a deal-breaker. I like this duo’s dynamics.
