A marriage born from duty. A love forged in fire.

Joseph Vitelli has spent his life as the invisible second son—brilliant, strategic, and utterly expendable. When his family needs an alliance with their oldest enemies, the Russos, Joseph becomes the bargaining chip. One wedding later, he's bound to Luchino Russo, heir to a rival empire and the most infuriatingly perfect man Joseph has ever met.

Luchino never wanted this marriage. He definitely didn't expect to fall for the sharp-tongued financial genius who sees through every carefully constructed wall. But as bullets fly and conspiracies unravel, keeping his distance from Joseph becomes impossible.

What starts as resentment burns into something neither can deny. But when betrayal strikes from within and Joseph's life hangs in the balance, Luchino faces an impossible choice: his family or the man he's come to love.

In a world where trust is currency and loyalty is everything, can two enemies become lovers—or will the secrets between them destroy both their families?

The book was nice to listen to. The action was not too bad and similarly to the relationship itself. There were a lot of repetitions that I found were overdone. Enjoyable nonetheless

I'm about 95% sure that this book was written by AI. And no I'm not just talking about the virtual voice (which was horrible btw) the book itself is repetitive, has no real emotional impact, and the "angst" was lackluster. I regret listening to this book thinking I should give it a fair chance. I should have went with my first instinct. As soon as I realized it was AI, I should have dropped it. It was all around horrible.

Definitely AI Written
