Weaving together herbal and medical traditions from around the world into a singular cohesive model, this groundbreaking book guides herbal practitioners to a comprehensive understanding of the practice and philosophy of healing with herbs.

Sajah Popham presents an innovative approach to herbalism that considers the holistic relationship among plants, humans, and the underlying archetypal patterns in Nature. Organized in five parts moving from the microcosmic to the universal, this work explores a unique integration of clinical herbalism, Ayurveda, medical astrology, spagyric alchemy, and medical and esoteric traditions from across the world into a truly holistic system of plant medicine. A balance of the heart and the mind, the science and spirit of people and plants, Evolutionary Herbalism provides a holistic context for how plants can be used for transformational levels of healing for the body, spirit, and soul. For both the student herbalist and experienced practitioner, Popham's original perspectives guide readers to a more intimate, synergistic, and intuitive relationship with the plant kingdom, people, and Nature as a whole.

The narrator cannot pronounce a good deal of the words, including cayenne and mycelium. There are words I’m trying to learn that I can’t be sure are even pronounced correctly. And it’s hard to identify what word he is mispronouncing, so sometimes whole descriptions don’t make any sense.

I love how much this book covers. There’s so much to learn in here and I’d like to be able to understand it.

Not particularly a good book for learning herbalism but a great book to provoke thought in established herblists. At times times the writing style felt a little drawn out but overall good. I love the narrator.

Pretty good.

Highly recommended!

This is a really well put together book and I really enjoyed listening to it. I was disappointed that Sajah was not the narrator as he talks so well in his pod casts and you tube videos and I would have preferred to hear him read the book.

I never understood all the aspects of Herbalism and how to choose herbal remedies prior to this book. It was an amazing journey looking at Energetics including the 3 principles, 5 elements, and 7 planets and how to use them all to find the most suitable herbal remedy.

I do feel like I would still like to buy a copy of the book as a reference guide as there is so much information.

Thank you for sharing all your amazing knowledge Sajah.
