Their latest design is the Synthetic Human Android UNit, otherwise known as SHAUN. Shaun is compatible to Lloyd's every need; the perfect fit on an intellectual and physical basis.

But Lloyd soon realizes Shaun's not like other A-Class androids. He learns. He adapts. Sure that SATinc is aware Shaun functions outside of his programmed parameters, Lloyd must find a way to keep Shaun safe. No one can know how special Shaun is. No one can know he's evolved.

I really want like one more chapter at the end

I love love love love love this book. I've listened to it three or four times now and it hits all my good book buttons Everytime. except the end. I want it to have another chapter so badly. it was over too soon.

That destroyed me in the best possible way

The story was so amazing full of heart and passion. The sex scenes were steamy. The discussions about androids was thought-provoking. Joel Leslie was giving an amazing performance throughout so good. I laughed, I cried, I loved every second of this audiobook.

Really Good listen

I am not usually into books like this but it was a really great book. Makes you wonder if this would really happen in our lifetime.

Incredible storytelling, surprising characters

This is the most unique of NR Walker’s books that I’ve listened to. Not only is it a really fleshed out (forgive the pun) android romance, but it’s so so interesting how Shaun becomes himself. Definitely wasn’t sure what I would think when I started this one but it’s fantastic.

Wonderful Story

Wow, yes that was quite amazing. Reminded me of a few other android/sci-fi stories, like Blade Runner and Jane Davitt's O/s kept popping into my mind (gotta read that one again).

I loved the premise, and the story was perfectly done. The ending is creative and since we're guaranteed a HEA I'm glad N.R. Walker does it the way she does.

I hate to say anything negative in a review, but Joel Leslie's narration totally didn't work for me on this one. It was too halting and it distracted me from the story. The way he portrays the emotion the main characters was lovely, but sometimes it was a bit over the top.

A wonderful novel, beautifully written, and a creative love story - it's a win.
