Secret agents, forbidden love, danger, and magic!

Supernatural Secret Service agents Owen Sharps and Calvin Springfield meet on the train to their new assignment in St. Louis, and sparks fly between them. But it's 1897, and they need to be very careful—falling in love can be dangerous for men like them.

It's their first case together, investigating mysterious disappearances-including the two agents who preceded them. Grim evidence leads them to look for a darker purpose. Old ghosts haunt the railroad line, zombie rise, signs point to ritual sacrifice, and they suspect someone is trying to open the gates of hell.

Can Calvin and Owen stop the mayhem, thwart the vampires, and find true love, or will everything go up in smoke?

Contains mature themes.

A fun start to Morgan Brice's Sharps & Springfield series, Peacemaker lays the groundwork for a great new romance. This is a cool steampunk world and I can't wait to explore the next book in the series.

The audio version of Peacemaker is beautifully performed by John Solo.

Love It, Great Performance by John Solo!

4 Stars, This was a great book. I will absolutely read / listen to this again and I want to return to this book’s universe.

This is a good story with very realistic characters in a supernatural setting. I enjoyed the world building too. The spice is really only at the end and I would consider it moderate to explicit. There are themes of historical homophobia as a topic but it’s not extreme. I would and will read more in this series.

As a side note I think the audiobook narrator did a fantastic job at diversity and consistency.

A fun supernatural queer romance.

I loved badlands and I love historical fiction, so I was excited to read this book. Maybe if I knew in advance how insta lust this is going to be... idk. this could have been awesome but it's a miss for me. the narration was very good though

Loved the narration by John Solo. I wasn't sure in the beginning and it took me about an hour to really get into but enjoyed it once I did. I would have liked a little more of the mystery solving vs so much internal dialog. I will read the 2nd book when it comes out.

great narration
