Series finale out with a bang

love the series I hope he plans to write more following this MC. love this author hoping for more books soon

unsatisfying.... ending?

i don't know if this will continue or not, but the ending leaves much to be desired.
it ends as it began. all the characters and world building are left pointless and left behind with James just continuing on doing what he's been doing.

the whole series we were looking forward to some resolution or a change of some kind, but nope. Just same old same old.

Humor and perseverance

I listened to all 3 books in this series, not sure if it will continue. I enjoyed the first book immensely, the second was a good continuation, this book.. meh. It’s just more of the same. Tired of ALL the characters (including the MC). The “system” is too different from one person to another to be an effective gage of abilities and/or progression (since different rules seem to apply to every single individual); therefore rendering it meaningless. The MC (James) is a good example of that. He was introduced in the first book as being completely maxed out on ALL his stats; but as he enters different world, it means little - since the rules change every time. The way this book ended it’s unclear if this is the end of this series. If the series continues, I hope there will be another arc/world to start afresh. As I said before, this particular world/characters/story arc has been rung dry and is tiresome.
