Couldn't Stop Listening!

This one was a little more emotional than I first guessed. Kinsley goes through such an emotional journey in this book in order to move on with Shane. Shane is a fire-fighter raising such an amazing daughter who helps Kinsley open up. You need to listen to this one as the audiobook brings the characters to life in a way me reading them doesn't! I think you usually see the FMC being the one who has it all together and comes in to save the MMC but this isn't the case for this one! So, it's refreshing and had me hanging on every word!

Exposed Ink stole my heart away. The things that Kinsley went through and how Shane breathed new life into her. It was as if they were both just existing, even though Shane had a relatively good, quiet life with his older teenage daughter, Taylor. It took a lot of resistance on Kinsley's part, but Shane never wavered and earned every piece of Kinsley. Little by little he chipped away at the stone she had erected around her heart. And I love the relationship between Taylor and Kinsley. It was low key my favorite.

Lexi Evans and Theo Sinclair did a fantastic job on the dual narration of the audiobook. I listened to it in one sitting.

Such an emotional rollercoaster. The loss and trauma Kinsley went through is heartbreaking. I can't imagine that kind of loss.
Shane's daughter Taylor, I love that she refers to her physical romance books at trophies. I relate to that. Taylor and Kinsley bond over books.
Shane breaks through the wall she put up around her heart. I love their HEA.

another firefighter to fall in love with

I love Nikki Ash's writing and this book is now one of my favourite stories by her.

After a major loss, Kinsley keeps her focus on tattooing. Her walls are high and her level of guilt is high after the accident that changed her life. With an incredibly supportive family and friend, she slowly moves on.

I felt incredibly sad for Kinsley. She held on to so much pain and really had a hard time letting Shane in.

I thought their meet cute was perfect. Shane was persistent and I loved that he referred to Kinsley as 'Sour Patch'.

Their love story was very so well done and I admire their connection to each other. Shane's teen daughter Taylor was a great addition to the storyline.

I had some great laughs during this book.

For the audio version of this was incredible. Lexi Evans and Theo Sinclair did a wonderful job. These two are new to me and they were cast perfectly for this book.

The narrators did a really good job.
Loved listening to their story. I always look forward to Nikki's stories and this one was great. Kinsley is a tattoo artist if you've read Nikki's books she first appears in Through His Eyes as Quinn's daughter. Shane is a single dad 😍, paramedic ❤️ and the way he talked 🔥🔥🔥🔥. They meet when he responds to a call where Kinsley was having a severe allergic reaction. Nikki just have a way of writing a story that just has me interested and can't put down. This one make me laugh and cry. I loved Shane's daughter too and throwing in that her and Kinsley were bookworms loved it. As always look forward to her next book
