Extinction Dream

A Total Mind F

This was a total mind trip. It combines horror and scifi in a truly unique way. On the frontline of a war that humanity doesn’t understand, a soldier has to battle psychic aliens. Through the manipulation of the soldier’s imaginations and tim itself, they bend the main characters reality until he, and the reader, can barely determine what is real anymore.

Highly recommended!

Id like a sequel

I think there shouldve be more, that rewrites it all in a twist that could easily happen. I listened to it in a binge so I enjoyed it but the ending, it could be better, it needs more.

Fantastic blend of sci-fi & horror

I'm quickly learning you can't go wrong with Joe narrating, and while this is my first "read" by Najberg, I'm going to go ahead and call it now and say the same for anything written by Andrew. Already downloaded Gollitok to listen to next!

I absolutely loved Extinction Dream. I'm a huge fan of space horror in general, and the Children of Time series is one of my all time favorites. While the plot is obviously very different, the introspection and general philosophical nature of Extinction Dream reminds me of Tchaikovsky's series. The main character was highly relatable. This book is creative, imaginative, and very well written. Highly recommended for fans of space horror and sci-fi in general.
