Things get even more interesting when SAC Lincoln Snow calls in old friends to help. Damon Thorne, formerly of the CIA, and Jarrett and Thayne from the ATF step up to help on the premise that their case might have a link to biological terrorism. But it's so much worse.

Seventy years ago, the CIA began an illegal human experimentation program, code named MK-ULTRA, and the more Leo and Max learn about what Dr. Cummings has been doing for the DOD, the closer they draw parallels to the defunct program. These experiments aren’t the only things the government scientist has been working on. When Jarrett and Thayne go exploring at his house, they discover a secret room which promises to reveal the true nature of what’s happening…and it’s worse than they could’ve imagined.

Evil always targets the most vulnerable.Just when they think they’ve figured out what’s going on, an old nemesis from the FBI steps in with instructions to shut it all down and take over. A Little Disappointed

I like Patricia Logan's stories. This is certainly not the first set that I have listened to. I actually liked the first three books of this series. I am however, from the state of Kentucky. I am from the southeastern mountain region, but now live in Lexington. The scene that she created in Kentucky is very stereo typical. It made it seem as if this senario is what Kentucky is, and it is not. Not to say that we don't have mountain folk. Some of our counties are considered the poorest in the nation, including the one I am from. But we do have schools and it is mandatory to attend. Most people, even the poorest, at least have roads to their houses. You dont have to scale the mountain to get there. And they are not hill people, they are mountain people. Many people from these counties become doctors, lawyers, famous actors, world renowned scientists etc. We have award winning Universities, Research Hospitals, Cancer Centers, Agricultural Programs etc. The scene created by this author was probably true 50 years ago and i'm not saying there isn't a small sliver of that community still left in the mountains. But the way it was framed it hinted that all Kentuckians were backwoods uneducated people. Which is not remotely true. I will continue listening to Patricia's books but this one disappointed me for the picture it painted. I will say the narrator did a great southern/mountain accent for Prince.

Great Set

I enjoyed reading these stories but they are even better listening to them. I appreciate having them in this set together.
