She was certain it was the click of the front door. She sat paralyzed with fear at the certainty that someone had just entered her apartment. She was equally certain it wasn’t her roommate.

Fantastic!

This is a wonderful story of intrigue, passion and turmoil. D. C. Cole did an exceptional great job narrating it. Lela and Jordan had a relationship that was hot and I kept wondering who would get burned. They both worked for the Alexander Ranch agency. The agency had workers that had special powers. It will bring out every emotions that you have. I wanted to choke someone, kiss them at times and just plain old holler at them. I might have a few times. LOL Loved it!

Fast Paced

I read this book first and totally enjoyed it, but I must say the D. C. Cole brings another whole dimension to the story and I loved the narration. This is the most recent installment in the Alexander Ranch series, and I certainly hope it is not the last. A good story with some interesting plot twists. Lela seems to be caught in an untenable position because of her gift, but Jordan finally shows some maturity and gets past his jealousy. Now, if they can only keep Lela alive. Fast paced and dramatic. Quite an enjoyable read.

Suspenseful!

I love this series! Never a dull moment for the Alexander’s. This one definitely kept me on my toes.
D.C Cole does a wonderful job narrating as usual.

Exciting, Intriguing, and Sexy Mystery!

Wow, this series continues to be an exciting, intriguing, and sexy mystery! The fifth book in the Alexander Ranch series has a gripping case that takes them to New Orleans and back. When someone is trying to kill the daughter of a high profile lawyer, Lela and Alexander Securities are in a race against time to catch them before they hit their mark. Not only is Lela getting exhausted trying to keep up with these super sleuths, she is finding out her abilities are not always a gift. The love triangle between Lela, Jordan, and Shane heats up as well. I love how complex these characters are and how Ms. Josephs is allowing us to understand them even more in this story. The growth in Lela and Jordan's relationship feels very real and honest, completely endearing them to me. Lela's brother, Blake, plays a bigger role in this story, and he is a total delight. I definitely want more of him. I was so captivated by the role the whole team played and how they continue to work together so coherently. Ms. Josephs expertly wove intriguing clues, multiple plot twists, and even a few shocking revelations that kept me riveted and on the edge of my seat. That was only helped by DC Cole's performance, which absolutely blew me away. His characterizations, pace, and inflections had me gasping, and my heart racing! I am a fan of his narration, which only gets better, but to me, this amazing performance is his best work yet. Josephs and Cole make a great team! I love this thrilling series and I can't wait for more exciting adventures from Lela and Alexander Securities!

Faceless Fear

The Alexanders have landed another case and this time they are off to the big easy. Although the case actually starts in their own back door, the victim is followed on a business trip. Marla Josephs does a wonderful job making you feel like you are in New Orleans. With her wonderful descriptions of the area and the food you will want to plan a visit. Of course the bad guys in the story don't seem to want to enjoy the scenery. The story will have you on the edge of you seat with a nice plot twist near the end. Most of your favorite characters are present in the story so its like visiting friends and perhaps a few not so favorite characters. D.C. Cole does an amazing job with the narration and bringing the story to life.
