Seattle, 1994. Douglas Shea is a college student groomed to go into the family business. That family business is doing the dirty work for a faction of shadowy government operatives. Excellent story

Great writing. Narrator isn’t perfect but performs well. Exciting action. Pretty good techno thriller. I hope Karl Dahl writes another one.

Great storytelling

Great storytelling! Karl nails it! Histories and backstories really helps you get to know the characters.

Decent

Disliked the monotone emotionless narrator. Was not suited for the story, would have been better with a different narrator.

Riveting and heartfelt

The characters are realistic without being dry, and story is action packed while retaining a hard edge realism. Dahl’s style reminds me very much of Tom Clancy and Fred Forsyth, which I mean as compliments! Looking forward to the next book.
