Edie Wecker returned to her hometown of Shadows Landing after her husband was killed in action. The small town of Shadows Landing had become like family, helping her put the pieces of her life back together. Tristan Durand is only sent in to do the deadliest of work for his small European country of Millevia, and this time he’s told it’s the most important assignment of his career. Tristan had a contingency plan for everything, except meeting a beautiful woman at a café that would not only change his entire life but now possibly end it.

Edie thought she’d never see Tristan again after their one-night stand in Europe, only to return from her trip to find him living next to her in Shadows Landing. Now Edie has to face the trauma of her past when Tristan’s life is in danger. Tristan might be a trained killer, but Edie will do anything to save the man she loves for their chance at a future together.

Shadows Landing

I have read all of the Shadows Landing books and this one did not disappoint. Not only do we meet some new characters including Tristan but all the prior characters are here as well.

We learn more about Edie and see her begin to blossom again. The beginning of the book had me in tears as she was at her husbands grave. We did learn more of Tristan as the book progressed but I did feel the author could have been more in depth on his character.

There are scenarios that are not realistic and there are scenes of real life and emotions. But that is the beauty of these books! They are funny, emotional, have action and are just plain fun! It would be a hoot to live in a town like this!

I really like Eric Dove’s narration! It works for me. This book may not be for everyone but I sure enjoyed it!

Wow

A great story about our friends from Shadows Landing. This is Edie’s story you will laugh, cry and still be trying to find out who is the bad guy. You don’t want to miss this one. Edie is finding her way out of the grief she’s had for her lost husband. See truly deserves a happily ever after.

Edie found love again

What a beautiful story. Edie is a widow and everyone treats her like fragile glass. Now that she is ready to find her own self again, she embraces coming out of her shell and into the arms of a stranger while on vacation. She doesn't know that this stranger had a hidden agenda.

Tris wasn't going to actually meet Edie, but when a chance opportunity presents itself, he can't resist the quiet woman who looks beautiful conquering her fears. When they both figure out the truth, Tris may find he is the one who may be killed unless he can convince Edie that he loves her and her family and friends that he was never going to kill anyone.

I love when we get to hear about the Keeneston group, both young and old. This story is full of family and friends helping to overthrow a country. Between the Keeneston crew, the Shadows Landing crew along with the knitting club and the church, nothing will ever harm the citizens of Shadows Landing.

The best

This is one of my favorite stories of the series. Edie and Tristan’s story is romantic, suspenseful and touching. Some scenes will leave you laughing and other scenes crying! And Eric G Dave is the best!

Always Entertaining!

I enjoyed returning to Shadows Landing. All of the characters there are quirky and entertaining. I love the way the pull together to combat any crisis.

I was glad to see Edie rediscover and embrace the fire in her personality. I liked Edie and Tristan together. I felt their chemistry shouldered and then burst into a flame. I also felt like I got more of the people in Shadows Landing in this book than Tristan's character. It was almost like he became a secondary character in his story with Edie.

The narration was on point as usual. I am looking forward to Olivia and Granger's story.
