A fake relationship, a frosty CEO, and a family weekend with way too much pressure....

When Elara Silver—luxury resort CEO and queen of perfection—finds herself without a plus-one for her family's high-stakes anniversary weekend, she does the unthinkable: asks her messy, cheerful, and completely-out-of-her-element assistant, Grace Saunders, to pretend to be her girlfriend.

Elara plans to polish Grace up, fake a flawless backstory, and survive the weekend. But Grace's charm, optimism, and knack for finding trouble quickly derail the plan—and Elara's ice-cold walls. Forced to navigate nosy relatives, awkward dinners, and one very unexpected spark, Elara starts to wonder if the chaos Grace brings might be exactly what her life (and her heart) needs.

Can a fake relationship with her quirky assistant melt the ice queen's carefully constructed world?

Contains mature themes.

I listened to all 3 books, the first and the third were excellent the second one not so much. I liked this book because the MC were well written. I thought that although Lori Prince was excellent she didn’t choose the correct voice for the ice queen…

this was good

I enjoyed the main characters but there connection was clumsy- Alara who was supposedly controlling let Grace fumble with unplanned discussions about their relationship and how it started… The atttraction was intense and EH knows how to write a sex ears scene. I felt like there were big gaps in the storyline that could have made it richer. Grace forgives too quit and we don’t see the relationship grow from the get away….. The epilogue was 3 yrs later which left alot to be filled in. I still enjoyed it very much. Alara was a likable awkward ice queen in that she was not a cocky predator but a flawed woman who used work and distance as her armor

Awkward -too fast HEA

It's like the author got drunk, watched Pretty Woman and Devil Wears Prada back to back, then stayed up all night writing. The grammar and so forth is fine. But the story is just a race from one scene to another without ever really stopping to give character dynamics or even perspective. Lacks any real depth. I'm about halfway in and have yet to get to know, or care about, either of the characters.

Shallow

It was all key frames and few moments of how the characters got from one state to another. It was super confusing.

skipped the character development
