Action and near death experiences

Narration I wasn't crazy about, but it was doable. Mature content was spicy but not exactly steamy. I give it a 🌶️🌶️🔥

As for the story and the MCs love affair, that was sweet, even if a little quick. As for the military content the author needs to do a bit better research.

Fell short

I didn’t give this a 5 star because of the Narrator. I couldn’t stand the nasal monotone voice and it just irked me listening to her, after the 2nd chapter I couldn’t help it and just stopped listening. Ruined the book and the story and the characters for me, I hope authors realize that Narrators are the ones that can make or break the story! So all in all this definitely fell short!

The heroism of the main characters and our American soldiers.

I loved the love at first sight by both main characters even though both had sworn off relationships. Both lieutenants were excellent at their assigned duties and saved several wounded soldiers left in enemy territory.

Ummm

You can tell that the author is not in the military. So of the things in the book are not logical especially with trained military personnel. The spice was hot but the setting wasn’t realistic. It’s a light listen with little angst.
