Max Crawford has reached the point in life where he's starting to think about settling down. Unfortunately he's always been a little awkward when it comes to social interactions, and working from home doesn't help. He spends so much time alone, painting beautiful, historically accurate model trains, that half of Whitford has begun to joke that he may be a serial killer. Not exactly prime husband material.

Tori Burns has found happiness in Maine, thanks in large part to her shifts at the Trailside Diner. She likes the work, and she loves the local gossip. When shy, geeky Max Crawford becomes a regular, she's intrigued. When she finds out he's in the market for a wife, she's fascinated...and determined to help. Molding Max into every woman's dream turns out to be much easier than expected. But has Tori's plan worked a little too well? As she turns his comfortable life all sorts of upside down, she'll have to find a way to show just how she's fallen for him…the real him.

Max Crawford is a bit of an oddity in the close-knit town of Whitford, Maine. He is a young, good-looking recluse and since nobody knows what he does for work and rarely ventures into town.the rumor is that he MAY be a serial killer,

Max is in his 30s and decided that he needs a wife so that they can have children. After getting some advice, he ventures out to the local diner to try to meet a woman. His first attempt bombs and waitress, Tori Burns is a witness. After chatting him up, he admits he has a plan but feels awkward as he's never really dated. Tori decides to help the fella out and coach him on how to date.

Tori is dealing with her parents hateful and bitter divorce, so she has no interest in any sort of relationship. What follows MAY be obvious, but is so much fun with an occasional twist to keep it fresh and unique.

I really enjoyed the book but It is not my favorite of the Kowalski series.

Lauren Fortgang is the voice of the Kowalski family, she narrates all but one of the 9 books in the series. She is a wonderful voice performer and able to give each of the MANY Kowalski's and friends characters a unique, individual voice. One only has to listen for a few minutes to recognize which character is speaking.

Notes: There are a few 'mature scenes' but they are not graphic and mostly left to the imagination. There is no strong language or violence.

Credit worthy? Absolutely.

I have no complaints about story. It was great. My only complaint is about the narrator. Every time the name Max was said, my mind always went back to "Ruby & Max," u know the children's cartoon. She sounded just like ruby did on that cartoon, when she was explaining something to him. I would have to shake it out of my head every time.

Great story

I think that Falling for Max is the best story in this series. I burst out laughing so many times that people around me would look up to see what was so funny (I had earbuds on so only I enjoyed the laughs). Max is endearing and like many men I know. The chemistry between Max and Tori is noticeable immediately and keeps you waiting for the next chapter.
