They say love is blind, but for me, it’s dangerous, too. -Doll

I never planned on selling weed to make ends meet while juggling medical school. I certainly didn’t plan on catching feelings for Jordin "Mercy"—a street-smart charmer with a past darker than his flawless caramel skin. He’s got power, money, and enemies, yet somehow, his world feels safer than my own.

But loving a man like Jordin isn’t simple. It’s a tightrope walk between devotion and destruction, secrets and survival. Every stolen glance and whispered promise comes with a risk, one that could either build us into something beautiful—or burn us to the ground.

This isn’t your typical love story. It’s raw, it’s messy, and it’s ours. But can love really survive in a world where trust is the ultimate gamble?

Welcome to the Eastside of Compton. Are you ready to take the risk?

Doll was full of it! She made that man wait six months and the second guy only days before she slept with him. She also knew that girl was fooling with that guy before she married him. Could've been better.

That Jordin was trash, I mean really!! Im glad Doll didnt allow him to run over her abs stride on business with him. janario was that man and handled business. it turned out to he pretty good and I eventually liked it. The female narrator was not all that great but I liked Benjamin Charles!!!

ok it was good..

I think the narrators made this book suck or it could've been the absent storyline. The female narrator was absolutely horrible she made the male sound like an old guy with cotton in his mouth. The male narrator sound as if he was too close to the mic breathing extra hard! This was a waste of my time, I didnt enjoy this production or story at all!

Absolutley Boring and Narrators made it worst
