Aribelle is backed into the position of cleaning house for the horrible Mr. Thaddeus Walker. Not only is he rude, he's dangerously secretive, going out at night and coming home with injuries which seem to heal mysteriously fast. She should be keeping her distance, not trying to break down his barriers. But the more she uncovers, the more attracted she becomes until the cost of exposing his secrets fades behind the risk of losing her heart.

Thaddeus knows he should have sent the girl away instead of allowing her into his home. Now she's asking questions he can't answer. And the more time they spend together, the more he wishes he could pull her close and kiss her. But he can't afford to do that. Beautiful Aribelle could never love a beast.

Falling for the Beast is a sweet romance.

There's some violence but no foul language. No lovemaking scenes so far. I like the narration.

A different spin on a Beauty and the Beast story

This was a fun twist on a classic! Although there was no cute little teacup or anything it was still a very entertaining story!
The male lead character was able to heal other people although when he did he took on their wounds. That made me think of Jesus did for us.

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:5

The narrator's voice for the male lead was a little weird but it didn't take away from the story.

A fairytale twist

The story is a sweet beauty and the beast reimagined. No surprises and not much to the characters and their relationship, but cute. However, the narration was not great. The main male character narration reminded me of an old man holding a cigar in his teeth, and the female lead character sounds like a whining child at times. It wasn't the worst narration I've heard, but not how I imagined the story to be told at all.

Cute story

If you could sum up Falling for the Beast in three words, what would they be?

Super fun story.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the twist on the beast's spell.

Have you listened to any of Karin Allers’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She is a super reader/narrator. I love all the acting she puts in while she's going along. That is the most important thing to me as a listener. I did have a hard time with letting my imagination take over with the voice of the beast this time.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, the story around the puzzle.

Lovely

This could have been a decent story but the narrator ruined it. Her normal voice was pleasant, but the changes she made to portray the heroine was annoying and the voice she used for the hero/beast was flat out wimpy and winey.
