Carter Benson is a lonely, scarred mess of an alpha. Honorably discharged from the army after being injured, he is left with very little that really matters. So he goes to Maine, finds a tiny town, and starts a business as a plumber. It doesn't help his loneliness, though. Until a little girl hunts him down and forces him to be her new best friend.

Elijah Wilson has lived in Hobson Hills his whole life. So what that most of the townspeople think he's a whore because he's a single omega and got pregnant at 18? So what if they think he takes advantage of his grandparents by living on their property? Elijah and his large extended family know better. They know that he hasn't dated anyone since before Olive was born. They know he works hard in the family business and is great with investments.

They know the truth, but it can be hard living in a town that doesn't care about the truth. It can also be really lonely. Until his daughter makes a new best friend. When the two men meet, sparks fly. Their lives change for the better, but life isn't always easy. Narrow-minded townspeople and greedy parents can cause a lot of trouble. But there's always hope. There's always love.

fantastic!

this was a fantastic story! definitely in the category of "insta-love" bit so well done you can actually buy that its real. set in an omegaverse but only a little of the discrimination thay often comes from those stories. have read this book about a dozen times and greatly enjoyed the audiobook.

the narration was pretty good. not awesome but it didnt get annoying to me at all which is saying something as i get irritated VERY easily by bad narration. there are alot of characters, so doing individual voices for each, especially considering most appear often in each book of the series, would have been an extremely tall order. i like that it wasnt really attempted honestly though there were some conversations that were hard to follow, as well as some areas where it was hard to tell if it was dialogue or just thoughts. all in all though i still enjoyed it. love being able to enjoy a good book while i knit.

Way better than I heard.

Wow. This was awesome! I love omegaverse comics and this is my first omegaverse romace novella. CW Gray has an easy action oriented way of writing that evokes emotion. I loved listening to this. His vivid word pictures help develope the town this wholesome romantic story along. Yes I said wholesome. I freaking love this little town and the families we get to know. I need to know what happens next. Hopefully you will too.

Cute story

I really liked this story and will continue on with this series. I loved the narrator’s voice but wish he differentiated more on the characters voices so I wouldn’t have been lost to who was speaking some of the time while listening.

the family is amazing i spent three day reading the whole series until 4 am every morning than i had to just purchases the series from audiobooks just amazing.family , love and pets. C.W Gray you knocked out of the park with series thank you. i have this thing i read From my Amazon unlimited free books I love the fact that I get to read it for free to see if I like it and then I find myself eventually purchasing the E books and the audio books so thank you. i started e books on the 13th and finishe this moring around 3 proceed to purchase audio know listening to . i want more.

sweet alpha/omega story

This was just a sweet story. Eli is an single parent omega, who falls for his neighbor alpha Carter. They are super sweet together, but have to overcome some family issues to get to their HEA>
