The Sci-Fi book I have been waiting for

What a great story. Very well written and read. The realism comes through. The author definitely did his homework. Great work.

owish start, I wasn't too sure about the narrator in the beginning, but at the end I was sold. I love the series and the author. I look for anything by this author

Kinda slow

Way too many details. Not enough plot. PG-13 marines? Combat hardly changes is the future? Seem more like military history rather than sci-fi.

Classic Chaney vignette style.
Personable characters in believable situations.
Ryck's growth from boy to adult soldier is perfection.
