The dragon king told me to stay away from him. I didn't listen.

When the king of this realm saw me bathing in a stream, he did his best to warn me. Keep my distance, or the curse upon him would set his blood on fire, and he would ravage me brutally.

I didn't, and he did.

But he did more than just pin me to the forest floor and mount me like a feral beast.

He made me his, and no matter how savagely he ruts me or how thoroughly he blisters my bare backside while trying to scare me away, I'll never stop being what I was always destined to be.

His mate.

I was excited to listen to this one since Dragon King and Ice King were entertaining enough, but this one has hit so flat for me I'm considering DNF-ing it. Do we really need like six 5 minute spanking scenes? I'll finish this cuz I really only have an hour left - but man - this one is BORING.

I enjoy the male narrator but like the first books I kind of find the female's "man voice" a bit awkward.

least favorite so far out of the series

My first audiobook from this author and it was okay. I’m not a huge fan of paranormal books but I thought this book would change my mind, sadly it didn’t I’m still not a fan.🫤 The storyline was interesting, the narration was actually pretty good, it was just too long winded and a bit boring. Is it worth a credit? No, not for me.

The narration is awful, the spice is awkward and thrown in (esp the slapping scene) and the story plot is all over the place. It seemed good the first couple of chapters then got messy and lacks depth. I stopped listening.
