Telling James West he can't do something is like telling lightning it can't strike. The only thing that crosses his mind is, "challenge accepted." Finally sitting at the helm of his family's oil company, James is ready to conquer the industry. The gorgeous, mysterious woman who keeps crossing his path looks like the perfect distraction from the stress of his new role. He'll have to choose between having her in his corner at West Oil or taking her to his bed.

Libby Saint-Jane has been living a lie. One she intends to protect at any cost. When she finds herself in over her head and on the verge of failure, will her boss, James West, bail her out or kick her to the curb? He may not be the solution for all her troubles, but he might be the adventure she's been waiting for.

This is a great book; this is the first book in the Barrington Billionaires Series written by Danielle Stewart and narrated by Robin Rowan. This book can be listened to as a standalone but you will want to listen to them all. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Would you be willing to try another one of Robin Rowan’s performances?

No. I bought the Audible by accident when buying the book, and turned it on three-quarters of the way through the book. The breathy, high-pitched voice used for Libby was so ridiculous that I turned it off immediately.

Liked the book, hated the narration

First of all, the breathy voice only worked for Marilyn Monroe. It did not sound good on the heroin. Also, the heroine was whiny and a huge mouse. I didn’t look to see when this book was written, but there were so many potential sexual harassment suit’s that HR would’ve had a cow. Naked bodies and sex on the beach is tricky enough without the hero pouring sand on top of the heroin. And you’re not going near those girly parts until you get all that sand thoroughly washed off. Not much depth or strength in the characters. And the men should not be saddled with voices that sound nasally and prepubescent.

Meh at best.
