I got an inside look at what my parents went through when I moved out at 18 and came back for a few months at 30. Wow. A good friend is currently becoming an empty nester and I immediately thought of her. It was nice to suggest all the career changes or passion projects that parents could do to fill the time. Its also important to keep dating your spouse in the lead up so things don’t fall apart once the kids leave.
