Solid with a few unexpected twists

the writing is decent, better than a lot of what is available in this genre. overall I've enjoyed these books, the 1st in thr series being my favorite of thr trilogy (so far, at least)

Good sciFi

Love the story. Good characters and voice talent pulls you in. Love the boy and dog angle.

The dog and dog alien equivalent are people best friends. All aliens are just people.

Captivating story

The story continued without any moments of boring filler. The characters were all involved in the action. I want to hear more of this book.
