Emma was raised with a silver spoon, thoroughly dependent on her father's money. But when her parents arrange her to marry a guy she didn't even have any feelings for to seal a business deal between their families, the arrangement became the nudge she needed to escape.

Well, if the arranged marriage was the nudge, Gavin Blake was the one who brought her to independence. That is, until she roped him into helping her truly get out of her situation.
