She reads energy better than most people read texts. But no amount of intuition could’ve predicted him.

After torching her career in spectacular fashion, Sam Marsh returns to Emberwood with nothing but a suitcase and her deck of tarot cards. She's not a spell-casting sorceress—just a magically inclined, emotionally bruised intuitive looking for a fresh start… preferably one that doesn’t involve accepting help from her best friend’s older brother.

Jesse Garrett was once a rising baseball star. Now, he's rehabbing an injury, running his dad’s hardware store, and trying not to fall apart—or fall for the girl who’s suddenly back in town, rearranging his carefully constructed new chapter.

They’re stubborn, opposites, and absolutely inconvenient for each other. But when fate (and a meddling great aunt) keep throwing them together, resisting the pull might be more trouble than it’s worth.

Best friend’s brother • witchy small-town vibes • feet-kicking spice • no third-act breakup • dual POV

Perfect for fans of cozy romance with a little magic and a lot of heart.

Really enjoyed this one. The writing is strong and the characters felt real—especially the main character, who I could totally see myself in. Even listening through AI narration, I was pulled into the story. The relationship between the two leads was sweet and believable without feeling forced. Definitely glad I gave it a listen.

Loved the read!

This book had a lot of life lessons that I needed to hear. Listened 2x . As a fellow witch I related heavily. I do hate the narration but not enough to not love the book. Guess imma have to buy the paperback if it’s available.
