Good Story

I was a little disappointed the story ended a little abruptly. we will see if it is cinr8nued at all in the fourth book of the series.

I enjoyed the story line but think Me Winggate's style has improved throu her latest books

LOVED THE STORY....but....

This was an excellent story, but it was very wordy! It's hard to explain, but there were parts that were very slow due to the fluff in thoughts and description of things. It was certainly inspirational but I don't think it was overdone in that department. Had there been an ounce more however, it would have ended the book for me. I just think that Lisa Wingate needs to add more suspense/action to her stories OR condense the hours of narration.

As for Meredith Orlow, I enjoyed her narration talents. One of my pet peeves is when narrators do a child's voice. So many do a terrible job of reflecting age of children but IMO Meredith Orlow does an extraordinary job in this story.

With all of that being said, I would still spend a credit on this book.

It kept me listening.

The other books were better but it did keep me listening. I want to know what happened to the 2nd wife and child. .

loving relationships

Firefly Island gives a realistic view of marriage, the up and downs and compromises that entangle marriage. As the story develops the reader becomes engrossed in the mystery of Firefly Island.
