Hero or villain? Gentleman or traitor?

What if your life depended on discerning one man's character?

He wants to honor his family legacy.

Fitzwilliam Darcy takes his responsibilities seriously. He excels in every endeavor he pursues and upholds the highest standards, and he has little patience for those who flaunt their flaws like the Bennets do.

She wants to fall in love with a hero.

Elizabeth Bennet longs for the toe-curling romance she reads about in novels. She dreams of an honorable man - loyal and generous to the less fortunate...everything Mr. Darcy is not.

Now, he's England's most wanted criminal, and she's stuck with him.

Besieged by highwaymen and left for dead in a snowstorm, Mr. Darcy seeks help only to get arrested for treason. A split-second decision forever attaches Elizabeth to his side, and together, they're on the run.

When adversity reveals their true character, will Elizabeth regret her decision? Or will she find her hero in Mr. Darcy? Can such a rigid, proper man return the passion she craves?

Fitzwilliam Darcy, Traitor is a sweet and clean romantic suspense variation of Jane Austen's timeless classic, Pride and Prejudice. It's the first book in the Dimensions of Darcy series of stand-alone novels.

If you like swoon-worthy romance and pulse-pounding action, then you'll love this book!

I passed this by several times because I did not want to listen to anything to do with "traitor" assuming that it had to do with the French/British war. I am so glad I finally gave it a chance. There is very little about "traitor". The reference is to the murder of a friend of the Prince Regent which is considered treason. Most of the story is about Darcy, Elizabeth, Jane, Bingley and the hateful despicable Wickham. It really is a great story with a lot of action, conversation and a satisfying ending. I love this version of Darcy. He is awesome

First, this audio is extremely well read by an easy voice to listen to. Stevie adds life to the book without any distraction from the plot. 5 stars plus.

Next, this book is from on of my favorite P&P fanfic authors, and believe me, she did not disappoint at all. Wowza.

This is a clean read, which is important to me, but you can still feel the icy relationship turn to fire.

This beginning Darcy is self-righteousness and hard to like but still lovable somehow. By the end, he is perfect. Elizabeth also grows and chat he’s throughout.

There is angst, but it doesn’t overwhelm. There is mystery, but it is not hidden for too long. The real ‘mystery’ is how they’re going to fight the deck that’s stacked against them, even as they fall deeply in love.
I finished the audio Tuesday and am getting ready to listen to it again this afternoon as I play taxi to my kiddos.

I can’t give this author and this story enough stars. I highly recommend.

Amazing

There was a lot to love about this book, which I both read and listened to via the audiobook. I can never be disappointed in seeing Stevie Zimmerman narrate.

Mrs. Bennet schemes to have Bingley escort Jane to London after he decides to leave Netherfield. Darcy isn’t too happy, as it’s his carriage they are taking. Jane refuses to go unless Elizabeth is included. Unknown to them all, there will be another scheme afoot when the carriage is overtaken by highwaymen. They are left to fend for themselves after the carriage and horses are taken—in a snowstorm. When Darcy is finally able to go for help, yet another scheme takes hold and Darcy is accused of treason.

I enjoyed the different take on the stranded/compromised trope in that it involves the two couples. I was completely engaged with every chapter. Recommend.
