This is an all time favorite. I can’t begin to convey how much I love this book. Darcy rescues Elizabeth from being stranded by the roadside in the pouring rain She’s running away from despicable circumstances at home. Darcy and Elizabeth talk in the carriage and she learns the truth about Wickham. She falls ill. They are stranded at an inn because of the rain. Another rescue by Darcy nursing her back to health. He proposes marriage. She accepts. The rest is surprise after surprise as they deal with family. But the romance and love is all.

Highly recommended.

I listen to this at least twice a year

I loved that the whole of the book was during their marriage. I didn't like Jane's attitude towards E. I do like that Bingley didn't end up with Jane due to her change in character and who would want to live with Caroline as a sister.
I understood the role Georgiana had to play but I didn't like what happened to her in the end.
The narrator was okay to listen to but many times you couldn't tell who was speaking.
I like it when a narrator has different inflection in for each character.
This is a good variation.

I enjoyed this variation of P&P

My title may be confusing. Overall, I love this story, but I don't like Georgiana in this version. It is funny that I can take a bad Jane and Bennett family, but it is difficult for me to take a bad Georgie. Also, the narrator is okay, not the best, but not terrible.

I am a big fan of the variations where Elizabeth and Darcy get together early on. In this book, they are married for most of the story. Elizabeth leaves home because Mr. Bennett is forcing her to marry Mr. Collins. She runs into trouble along the way and Mr. Darcy comes to her rescue. They fall in love early and marry early. Their troubles fall to mostly Georgiana and Wickham. Wickham here is worst than usual. Georgiana is just a spoiled brat and ODC try to have a happy life dealing with her. This part is difficult for me to listen to. I especially disliked the part where Georgiana made it seem like Elizabeth and Wickham had a relationship and Fitzwilliam believed it. ODC spent a week or two not talking and then he found evidence that proved she was innocent and he just expected Elizabeth to go back to normal. She should have given him more grief there. Especially when he was frustrated that she didn't tell him she was pregnant.

I've relistened to this a few time and overall enjoy the story, I just end up skipping some of the awful parts with Georgiana.
I love that Elizabeth makes a friend in Derbyshire and that Caroline gets her comeuppance after being so awful during her visit to Pemberly. I do recommend. It is worth a credit.

Love most of this, dislike a bit of it

There is so much to love about this P&P variation. It’s a new plot with our favorite couple. Let me say that indeed, this variation is for mature audiences. When you have a couple that are in love, their story is believable.

I have listened to many P&P variations. I thought this narrator did a wonderful job! She brought the story to life.

One of a kind P&P JAFF
