Ever wonder why today’s productivity and creativity hacks demand more and more of you, without delivering much more in the end? It's because the shortest distance between two points may be a straight line — but linear, short-cut thinking is rarely the path to the best ideas. Don’t let your creativity flat-line. Follow the Meander is this moment’s essential guidebook designed for those who are ready to slow down, delete their to-do lists, and embrace spontaneity and presence over predetermined process. Are you ready for a future that isn’t limited by straight lines?

Follow the Meander features meandering moments with inventor Buckminster Fuller, Zen master Michael Elliston, experimental philosopher Jonathon Keats, avant-garde composers John Cage and Brian Eno, explorers like Teddy Roosevelt and Lewis and Clark, landscape architect Capability Brown, sculptors Ruth Asawa and Isamu Noguchi plus jazz greats, haiku poets, weavers, dancers, designers, and even frogs and dogs.

10/10! Follow the Meander is a well-researched and playfully inspired guide for rediscovering ones creativity. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to escape the beaten path and follow their dreams. Through thoughtfully composed stories of this century’s most creative minds, Dietz articulates how to break free of conventions and norms and simply follow the meander of life. I loved this book so much that I bought the paperback copy too and will definitely be reading again.
