Andrew Dietz is a novelist and nonfiction writer whose work explores creativity, courage, and the complicated path toward becoming who you are meant to be. His debut novel, Ever U and the Boy Who Drew Too Much, blends emotional depth, artistic inquiry, and coming-of-age tension, reflecting his long-standing fascination with creative outsiders, artistic risk, and the quiet bravery required to follow one’s talent. He is also the author of several nonfiction books, including The Last Folk Hero, Follow the Meander, and The Opening Playbook. Across genres, his writing returns to a central theme: how individuals build meaningful lives by trusting their creative instincts. He has served on the boards of arts organizations including the Atlanta College of Art (now SCAD) and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia and has led workshops at the intersection of creativity and contemplative practice. Andrew divides his time between Atlanta and the mountains of Western North Carolina, where the landscape continues to influence his work.
