When Carolina and Trevor meet on their first day of school, something draws them to each other. They gradually share first kisses, first touches, first everythings. When they're together, nothing else matters. But one of them will make a choice, and the other a mistake, that will break what they thought was unbreakable. Both will wish they could fall in love again for the first time - but first love, by definition, can't happen twice.

Told in Carolina's and Trevor's alternating voices, this is an up-close-and-personal story of two teenagers falling in love for the first time...and discovering it might not last forever.

This book has a good storyline but the music in the background is really unnecessary and kind of annoying but, overall a great book

this story will break your heart, make you grin, and scrub your face in frustration. this depiction of a first love in high school hit all the right notes and you will see yourself making the same mistakes these characters do. the performance is amazing, they include sound effects to really bring you into the moment which is nice.

an achingly real account of high school love

I really liked this book! The characters are pretty young and silly but I loved it. Based on my life when I was younger, a lot of things were sooo dramatic and confusing; every relationship was supposed to be forever, and my best friends at that time were supposed to be forever, but things change, people change and eventually we move on.

I liked how genuine the interactions were and how the characters always stayed true to their personalities and views on life, sure things definitely changed but it felt like the characters were very consistent and realistic. I saw reviews on some other platforms for this book saying there was too much sex and how Carolina said “gosh” too much but likeeee, it was SO real! I already know everyone doesn’t have the same experience but that doesn’t mean it’s okay to shame others for what they have gone through. I think the sexual encounters were true to how nerve racking and wild they really are. I liked that there was a lot of the sexual type stuff because I do enjoy some erotica but this book is very light, relatable and makes you smile at the cute moments the couple has. In all reality when you love someone and are just about obsessed with them, especially when you’re young, of course you’d have sex a lot if you’ve decided to do those things together. Love isn’t all about sex obviously but it is about exploring each other, learning about each other and how to love each other better.

Overall I thought this book was super cute and although I normally prefer characters in my age group, this just brought me back to being a clueless sometimes care free kid. Sure life was awful at times but without my past experiences, good and bad I wouldn’t be where i’m at today.

Thank you for this awesome and totally relatable story!!

Definitely a cute story, probably a perfect middle school romance read, but the music tidbits were honestly annoying.
