When ER doctor Timothy Morrison saves a mysterious patient with impossible wounds, he never expects the man to heal within hours—or to return with coffee and conversation that makes Timothy feel alive for the first time since his sister's death.

James Anderson has walked the earth for two centuries, carrying the secret of his vampiric nature and the weight of his maker's murdered dream: a synthetic blood that could free vampires from the need to hunt.

When Timothy is attacked by James's enemies and left dying, James faces an impossible choice—let the man he's falling for perish, or condemn him to an eternal existence he never asked for.

Now Timothy must navigate his transformation from healer to predator while racing to complete the revolutionary research that could change vampire existence forever. But as ancient vampire factions hunt them and Timothy's medical ethics clash with his newfound hunger, he discovers that the greatest challenge isn't surviving as a vampire—it's choosing what kind of monster to become.

The story was interesting. wouldn't have minded a more. HATE the Virtual Voice, though with this book it was easier to tell who was speaking vs some others.
