Pastor and New York Times bestselling author Timothy Keller outlines the reasons why forgiveness has to be a central part of everyone’s lives.

Forgiving anyone in a meaningful way is one of the hardest things a person has to do. If you do not, resentment and vengeance begin to consume you. It is nearly impossible to move past transgression without forgiveness, but few people have the resources and the tools to forgive others fully and move on with their lives. Forgiveness is an essential skill, a moral imperative, and a religious belief that cuts right to the core of what it means to be human. In Forgive, Timothy Keller shows readers why it is so important and how to do it, explaining in detail the steps you need to take in order to move on without sacrificing justice or your humanity.

Timothy Keller's "Forgive" is an enlightening journey through the intricate landscape of forgiveness, deeply rooted in biblical wisdom. Keller brilliantly interweaves scripture references with engaging narratives, making the theological aspects accessible and relatable. What stood out to me was how the book resonated with my existing psychological understandings, filling in the gaps with a profound theological perspective. Keller's realism about the arduous process of forgiveness — emphasizing that it's not an overnight feat but a journey — is both reassuring and grounding. This work is a testament to Keller's deep insights and an invaluable guide for anyone seeking a holistic understanding of forgiveness. I wholeheartedly cherish this piece.

A Theological Masterpiece on Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a test of ones faith, certainly not easy yet absolutely nessacary. Keller gives instruction, what is need to know to be courageous and take the steps to forgive those who have wronged us and how to confront the person in a loving manner. The material also gives insight into how one who confronted responds, if done correctly both parties benefit. I gained perspective that actually eliminated guilt in an effort to confront that was not received well.

God loves us and thus corrects us

The only drawback of the audio version is the reader is very monotone. It is the same tone through the whole book, this is probably the best book on forgiveness of the road.

Great book very thought-provoking
