When we live with unresolved anger or hurt, the result is nearly always bitterness, broken relationships, and unhealthy behaviors. Unforgiveness not only sabotages our interactions with those around us, it impedes our own spiritual growth and inner peace. And it can happen to anyone.

In her most vulnerable writing yet, Ruth Graham reveals how a visit to Angola Prison inspired her to release the unforgiveness lurking in her own heart - toward others, herself, and even her heavenly Father and her earthly father, evangelist Billy Graham.

This book is excellent. The author takes seriously personal responsibility, offense, shame, and self-condemnation. There is no irreverent dismissal of forgiving one's self in a FAQ Chapter at the end, like another author had done. Ms. Graham, the author here, also doesn't address this book to only women, she addresses hurts for both men and women. The insights gained by lived experience are based in fact, and not sugar coated. It's deep in meaning, and serious about helping people forgive and heal. I will listen again, and maybe continue to do so. Most excellent book.

Ruth,Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I was very touched and also very encouraged. I am pretty good about forgiving others, but I am very hard on myself. I would like to think that might have changed some. Thank you Father for guiding Ruth to share your grace with us.

A not so easy to tell truth.

I watched some interview of the author last week and put this book at the top of my wish list. The author used so many Bible stories and enabled me to view God’s plans in a totally different light. I’m proud to have forgiven all for everything in the past and asked The Lord to reveal anything I haven’t. I cried in gratefulness for the candidness in the writing. I have another of her books on my wishlist for next month. Thanks for this book..

I knew when hearing Ruth Graham speak on the Huckabee show that I needed to hear this book. so I purchased the audio copy. at first I wasn't sure why but I knew somehow or another this book would be something to help me. at the beginning I realized she had been through things that many of us have been through. however, it was chapter 10 and 11 and the last chapter that I feel made the entire book worth it to me. My father worked frequently and was gone as well. I could relate to what she was saying. later, I ended up raising my daughter on my own. this book helped me identify things in myself to be able to talk with her to prevent her from walking down the same road that Ruth and I have traveled. thank you Ruth.

Excellent! and relatable.
