I love the detail in the characters and the pace of the narrative. this series is exceptional

Best one yet

I found this the easiest to follow having read the series somewhat addicted to the bizarre characters.
the narration really makes it listenable and I enjoy the twists and turns of this cranky police department
still 4 more in series to go !

I'm happy.

A good story but sadly I begin to see the end of this great series of books.
Hopefully the author will write more.

I love how the characters and story are developing over each book. I’m completely hooked on Peter and Beverley and Nightingale and Lesley and all the rest ❤️

Sarcasm and duty

This book has been a true joy to read. I laughed every couple of pages. Satire, police regulations, fantasy characters and a down to earth, detective chores. The protagonist is funny, ever so slightly haunted by fate and lust.
