The writing is strong, keeping the tension alive as Don and Samantha face unimaginable threats, while Miles Meili’s narration brings each twist to life. "What they find there, is not at all what they expected!" is an understatement in this emotional and intense journey.

It was good getting back to the Michigan survivors. looking forward to the next book.

Really felt like Frankenmuth

N.B. I received a free copy of this book via freeaudiobookcodes.com. I've read a few of the books in this overall series, but this is the first Frankenmuth one. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. It seemed more hopeful of humanity and really nailed Frankenmuth quite well. I've been to Frankenmuth a few times, so it was easy to picture all the places in and around that were described, which I think was helpful for me to enjoy the book.

For me personally; this book lacked action in a post apocalyptic world. It's a well told story and I loved hearing about all of the geographically correct areas of the town I'm from. It was a lot of fun hearing about places I've actually been!
