I’m happy with it

I found it perfect! It's simple and you can make associations with the pictures. I live in Brazil and it's really hard to find good books to learn German and even Japanese. But this book is a treasure, every student need to have one!

What a joy! I studied German from this book fifty years ago purely out of linguistic curiosity. It was entertaining, easy to follow, funny, useful, friendly, and all such wonderful things

helpful intro

If you want to improve your basic literacy of the German language, this is a great book. In order to supplement the information provided, I've also been listening to audio recordings so that I can practice speaking in German and become familiar with hearing people converse in that language.

very comprehensive

It begins with the German alphabet and moves in an organized manner to phrases and terms one would need to use on a trip to a German speaking country: how to book a hotel, how to ask for directions, and so on.

great reference book

It is a really pratical guide for use the german. The first part are common phrases to use in various situation, and the second part are about grammar. The approach to the german's grammatic is direct and I find it really a good summary of this language. I've found as a good book to have near to find information fast, but you should't use only it, but a great reference book
