Murder and mystery on the Jersey Shore from the national best-selling author of Inspector Specter....

Never meet your heroes - especially when they're dead....

Guesthouse owner, single mother, and reluctant ghost whisperer Alison Kerby is about to sit down to movie night with her family and friends when she's struck speechless. Floating before her is the ghost of her musical idol, 1960s English rock star Vance McTiernan. He's in desperate need of help from Alison and her resident ghostly gumshoe, Paul Harrison.

Reports claim that four months ago, Vance's daughter died from a drug overdose. Vance, however, thinks she was murdered. While Alison agrees to help, Paul is suspicious of Vance's motives. But after the body of the alleged killer is found in the movie room, Alison and Paul must act quickly before someone else finds a stairway to heaven....

I've listened to all these books and they are just fun! I wish I could find more just like it. And the narrator, Amanda Ronconi, is fantastic. I actually found this series by searching for books she narrated. Can't wait for the next one! You'll love it if you try it.

Love this series!

I was never the girl with a musician idol. I didn’t fawn over the boy bands of my generation, but I watched my friends do it. Some still do. I’d roll my eyes, and yes, I still do, but this was fun. Alison is the ever relatable character that is both flawed and yet you can’t help but love her. Sure, she can’t boil water, who ever said THAT was a requirement for running a guest house? Either way, no matter what Alison does she’s confronted with a ghost needing a little detecting. As per usual Ronconi’s narration is superb and EJ Copperman is a delightful author with clever stories that are just enough different to engage anew with each book in the series.
