I have read 16 books in this series so it is not surprising that the plot is becoming predictable and frustrating. Maya Gray is an interesting detective but she works alone and blunders into situations where she gets in trouble. In this book she meets her primary antagonist and fails to stop him because she won’t shoot him. The story line could end there but it allows the author to write another novel. I have already downloaded the next book in the series and will read it but I hope Gray has learned something from the previous 16 books.
